On January 6, Simply Jane Formals and five professionals from the pageant world held a conference on leadership, confidence and empowerment.
Megan Gordon Miss SC USA 2017
Having been involved in the pageant industry for over a decade, she is excited to now help other young women along their journeys. Miss South Carolina USA 2017 was a dream come true for her. She went on to place Top 5 at the nationally televised Miss USA competition and is now a noted speaker and trainer.
Angelo Frasier – Top National and International fitness trainer
Angelo, a Charleston, South Carolina native, is recognized as one of the premier personal trainers in the Southeast. He specializes in developing and sculpting the body based on the unique requirements of his clients and employs a holistic approach to his personal training specifically tailored for each individual with whom he works. Preparing contestants for local, state, and national level beauty pageants is one of Angelo’s specialty areas. He has trained hundreds of beauty pageant contestants and served as judge for the Miss South Carolina, Miss Georgia, Miss North Carolina, Miss Louisiana, Miss Teen South Carolina in the Miss USA and Miss America systems during the past 20 years.
Tim Griffin – Pageant Expert, Coach and Judge
A 30-year veteran in the Pageant World, Mr. Griffin has coached, promoted and judged for both the USA and Miss America Systems. Mr. Griffin served 20 years in the United States Navy and then attended University of Nevada, Las Vegas obtaining a degree in marketing and public relations. He is the director of the Miss Pageland United States pageant and works with young ladies to compete in the Miss SC Watermelon Pageant and High School and Festival Pageants throughout North and South Carolina
Dana Boutwell – Mrs SC International , Pageant Coach, Emcee and Judge
Dana was born and raised outside of Savannah Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in Speech Communication. Dana is a National Spokesperson for Cookies for Kids Cancer. She represented the organization in 2013 as Mrs. SC Strawberry Festival Queen as well as in 2016 as Mrs. South Carolina International. She has used her crown for her cause and with the support of her community she has raised over $200,000 for childhood cancer research. Dana was a Top 10 finalist in the Mrs International Pageant, has served as a judge, coach and emcee for multiple pageants .
Beth Vanderwalker – Boutique owner of Simply Jane Formals, Image Consultant, Mrs LA International
Beth works as a healthcare executive and has won multiple awards for her performance and focus on organizational excellence. She holds both her BSN and an MBA in Organizational Development. Beth was the first runner up in Mrs. Arizona and Miss Congeniality and was crowned in 2004 as Mrs Louisiana International . She has worked as an image consultant and is a preliminary director within the Miss USA organization as well as being the owner of Simply Jane Formals.
